Hot Sale Afghan Turkmen Engsi Rug

The Engsi is one of the most distinctive forms in Turkmen weaving. Traditionally hung at the entrance of a nomadic tent, its quartered panel layout and geometric borders marked the threshold of the home.

This piece is newly hand-knotted in Afghanistan and arrives unused, fresh from the loom. It is woven entirely from natural fibres, featuring a hand-spun wool pile knotted onto a wool foundation.

The deep tones and crisp, balanced geometry give clear definition to the motifs across every border and panel, offering the graphic structure of traditional tribal weaving in a clean, newly made rug.
