New Arrival Afghan Kamyab Rug

The Kamyab is hand-knotted in Afghanistan from hand-spun wool on a cotton foundation. The name means “successful” in Farsi and it is a fitting one.

This is a rug built on the same fundamentals as the finest Afghan Chobi weaving, hand-selected wool, hand-spinning that preserves the natural lanolin and a knot structure tight enough to hold the design sharp over decades of daily use. The wool is hand-spun in Afghanistan, chosen for its fineness and natural resilience. Because it retains its lanolin, the pile has a gentle sheen and a softness underfoot that machine-spun wool cannot replicate. The cotton foundation gives the rug its dimensional stability, it will lie flat, hold its shape and wear evenly over time.

The patterning is precise and considered. Repeating geometric and floral motifs fill the field with a density that rewards close attention, while the border frames the composition firmly without competing with it.
